Where we decide the means or purpose of processing your personal data, we are the “controller.”

Your Personal Data And How We Use It

Technical

PURPOSE – We process certain information relating to the device on which Individuals are accessing our Website to: (i) identify Individuals accessing our Website; (ii) understand how Individuals use our Website; (iii) improve, test and monitor the quality and delivery of our Website; (iv) identify and correct any problems on our Website; and (v) perform essential business operations.

We also process certain information relating to the device on which Individuals are accessing our Games, and the circumstances in which technical errors occurred.

CATEGORIES OF PERSONAL DATA – We collect the following information directly from Individuals when they access our Website: client IDs, approximate geolocation and browser and device information. 

When identifying and rectifying problems within our Games, we also collect information relating to the problem, the Individual’s hardware configuration, any information required from the Individual in order to rectify the problem and the circumstances in which the error occurred.

HOW WE USE IT – We process this information on the basis of our legitimate interests, being to: (i) promote the success of our business, our Games and related services; (ii) further our commercial interests; and (iii) understand how Individuals use our Website and Games. Such interests are not overridden by Individuals’ interests or fundamental rights and freedoms.

RECIPIENTS – We share this information with Google LLC when we use Google Analytics cookies to collect any of this information. For further detail on how we collect this information, please refer to Section 5 below.

HOW LONG WE KEEP THIS INFORMATION FOR – We retain this information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined above.

Enquiries

PURPOSE – We process certain information about Individuals in order to: (i) review and respond to their enquiries, complaints or questions about our Games, Website or related services; (ii) provide responsive customer care services; and (iii) improve, test and monitor the quality and delivery of our Website and Games.

CATEGORIES OF PERSONAL DATA – We collect the following information directly from Individuals when they access our Website: name, contact information (such as email address or telephone number) and any other information that Individuals submit as part of their enquiries, complaints or questions.

HOW WE USE IT – We process this information on the basis of our legitimate interests, being to: (i) understand how Individuals use our Games, Website or related services; (ii) promote the success of our business; and (iii) provide responsive customer care services. Such interests are not overridden by Individuals’ interests or fundamental rights and freedoms.

RECIPIENTS – We may share this information with third parties who provide customer helpdesk services.

HOW LONG WE KEEP THIS INFORMATION FOR We retain this information for as long as necessary to resolve the relevant enquiry, complaint or question, and to improve the overall delivery and performance of our Games, Website or related services.

Social Media

PURPOSE – We process certain information about Individuals in order to interact with them via our social media channels.

CATEGORIES OF PERSONAL DATA – We collect the following information from Individuals’ accounts, on the relevant social media platform which we are interacting with them: name, username, information contained within screenshots of posts and pictures uploaded to social media platforms and any other information that Individuals submit as part of their social media interactions.

HOW WE USE IT – We process this information on the basis of our legitimate interests, being to: (i) understand how Individuals use our Games, Website or related services; (ii) promote the success of our business; and (iii) provide responsive customer care services. Such interests are not overridden by Individuals’ interests or fundamental rights and freedoms.

RECIPIENTS – We share this information with the third party social media platforms which we use to interact with those Individuals. We may also share this information with third party marketing agencies and social media managers.

HOW LONG WE KEEP THIS INFORMATION FOR We retain this information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined above.

Marketing

PURPOSE We process certain information relating to Individuals to send them emails to keep them informed about our news, updates, latest projects, goods, services, promotional offers and partnerships which may interest them. Where we rely upon their consent to do this, they can withdraw their consent at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any of our emails.

CATEGORIES OF PERSONAL DATAWe collect names and email addresses from Individuals when we invite them to sign-up to our marketing communications on our Website, and via any other sales platforms and marketplaces on which we invite Individuals to sign-up to our marketing communications. 

HOW WE USE IT We generally process this information where we have an Individuals’ consent to do so.  In other cases, for example if an Individual chooses not to opt-out of marketing communications when purchasing a product or service from us, we process this information on the basis of our legitimate interests, being to promote the success of our business, our Games and related services.

RECIPIENTSWe may use Mailchimp (Intuit Inc.) to process this information for us, whose marketing automation and email marketing platform supports and manages the delivery of our marketing communications. We may also share this information with third party marketing agencies.

HOW LONG WE KEEP THIS INFORMATION FOR – We will retain this information for these purposes until the Individual has unsubscribed from marketing communications, or withdrawn consent for information to be used for these purposes.  

Other Data And How We Use It

Gameplay Data And Sales Platform Data

Whilst we collect certain information relating to:

  • How individuals play and interact with our Games (including average play session length, average progress, time to reach milestones and amount of money collected); and
  • Purchases of our products and services via third party sales platforms (including information relating to the location of the customers and the payments received),

this information is aggregated and anonymised, and therefore does not constitute personal data. As a result, we will not be able to single-out individuals when collecting and using this information.

We do not capture or store gameplay data, login data or any other information about our players.

Storage Transfers And Disclosure

Storage & Transfers

We are based in the United Kingdom, regularly collaborate with an international network of partners and may from time-to-time use subcontractors based in other countries. As a result, there may be occasions where we transfer personal data to a country which does not provide an adequate level of protection. Disclosure

We may disclose your personal data:

  • Where required by law, government, competent authorities or the courts or to establish, exercise or defend our legal rights, and for the purposes of preventing crime and fraud (for example, we may share personal data with our professional advisors, investigators, or credit reference agencies).
